The Dior Rouge #999 intense lush color is captured and composited in this commercial spot
Shot at MILK Studios, Directed by Barnaby Roper, in tandem with Cadence Productions this spot mixes live action with CGI and a ton of beauty and compositing love to create a seamless advertisement for the French luxury cosmetic brand.
On this project I was on-set Visual Effects Supervisor, Post Production lead and Flame Artist.
The Dior logo was shot using a prop logo submerged in #999 red paint, and pulled up to emerge & reveal itself.
In planing the creative, an option was to build the liquid end tag all in 3D using fluid dynamics.
But the look had to be totally organic. beautiful. luscious. Not sterile. The practical approach was taken.
